User Researcher and PhD.
I’m curious and passionate about the what, how and why of what drives people, their motivations and behaviours, and utilise these insights to create meaningful user experiences through design.
My main focus is qualitative research and design thinking methods. The majority of my work involves ethnographic research and methods such as interviews and observations. I’m also experienced in both quantitative and mixed methods and during my studies, I specialised in big data, and human-centred AI.
As a researcher, I’m driven by my creative ability to think differently about problems, my drive to lead collaborative environments and engage multiple perspectives, and my passion to represent the user throughout the entire design process.
WHAT I DO
I work closely with the client and team to define clear objectives to guide the research process.
I develop hypothesis to help prioritise the questions and assumptions brought into fieldwork.
I start with questions and decide what research methods (qual/quant) are best suited to find answers.
I identify problems and opportunities in design by using methods and tools to uncover users’ needs and behaviours.
I organise the data into patterns and themes, and translate those into meaningful insights and implications for design.
I report the research insights and design implications to various stakeholders, in creative, exciting and impactful ways.
HOW I WORK
Using different sizes and shapes of data, I develop critical insights and help turn these into design decisions.
I’m passionate about discovering patterns and making connections that enable everyone to see things in a new light.
I’m open-minded and empathic, always seeking to understand the perspectives of other people.
My work is iterative and collaborative from start to finish, and I help everyone own the user insights.
I use communication creatively to tell engaging stories and tailor messages to the needs of stakeholders.
I’m extremely observant of all details, always looking for what really matters to the people we are designing for.
